Alexandre "Al Sando" Alexandrov was born and raised in family of professional musicians.     Being child music prodigy in his hometown predetermined his music career. Music is not only his career but also his passion and hobby, love and jealousy, success and despair, in short: his life. Born in Bulgaria, but since early age traveled and toured across many countries he considers himself citizen of the World. Recently Alexandre made Canada his residence and brought his wealth of talent, education, experience and expertise to share with the people of this great country.

Since age of 5 Alexandre went through extensive classical music training and earned his Masters Degree in Music. At age of 14 he discovered Jazz music and fell in love with it immediately. Ever since he could not separate himself from neither of both. This made him develop his unique music persona and music style. When playing the piano you can hear his Chopin style gentle touch along with the crystal clear and bluesy runs similar to those of Oscar Peterson.

In his compositions, one can hear Jazz Fusion motifs  co-excisting with Orchestral Sound structures laid on the top of lush Ambient Grooves. These originally quite different musical components are well balanced and mixed together to emerge as unique and totally new music style of his own. His musical experiments are as he confesses " a gift and a challenge: exciting to create and extremely hard to develop because you are in uncharted waters"

Alexandre's music career has led him through numerous musical adventures: Pianist at the Bulgarian National Radio Big Band; founder and Band Leader of the Ferrotones pop rock band; co-founder of Jazz Fusion band that shook the conservative jazz scene in Europe; Freelance Composer of music for TV and Theatre productions; Music Producer; Touring Europe, Russia, Africa and Cuba as a Band Leader of the Ferrotones; Teaching Jazz at The Music Department of University of Calgary and currently owner of Alexandrov Music Centre in Whitby, Ontario.

Alexandre spent the most recent years of his life developing the concept of Groove Symphony project and composing music scores for its current and future recordings. His original music catalog spans from Jazz, through Orchestral to Ambient. Alexandre's knowledge of various ethnic music cultures enables him to successfully experiment in the field of World Music as well.
